Would you wear an umbrella coat?
Inventor, Athanasia Leivaditou has debuted a coat with a massive hood shaped like an umbrella designed to withstand high winds and keep rain away from the face.
This seems like a really great idea, but let’s just say the silhouette is a little eye-catching; there’s a fine line between madness and genius after all.
While the coat is undoubtedly a little kooky, it does have a good pedigree, having been designed by Leivaditou as part of her advanced architectural design course at Columbia University in rainy New York and it does mean that wearers’ hands are free from grappling with an umbrella. It can even be worn in three ways – what more do you want?!
Love it or loathe it? (It’s only a prototype atm!)
