Olympics: Nicola Roberts takes Gold for party dress
We all know that the sports luxe trend has legs for the whole summer season and we salute Nicola Roberts for getting into the Olympic spirit by teaming her glam maxi with Henry Holland x Superga pumps for the Warner Music Group’s pre London 2012 Games bash at The Tate Modern.
For more pics of the attendees (we heart Leah Weller’s daring minimalist look and Poppy Delevingne’s colour blocking) check out the full article.
Beyond excited about Rihanna’s Styled To Rock show
OMG we can’t wait to see new reality-ish fashion series Styled To Rock with Rihanna, Nicola Roberts and Henry Holland…oh and some extra guests. Check out the trailer and get excited!
Cheryl’s still got the X-Factor + shoe collection news
So we were obviously glued to the X-Factor along with the rest of the country last night and noted the inevitably dramatic style make-overs, including Kitty’s David Bowie-esque glittery eyes.
But a news story in The Daily Mail made us laugh. Former talent show darling Cheryl Cole has been spotted by the newspaper wearing ‘tribute’ trousers – i.e. they have little X’s on them…and when we looked it was an ikat design and Cheryl is once again rocking the Navajo trend. From now on, I will be wearing my ikat ‘tribute’ t-shirt in honour of X-Factor- haha!
In other Cheryl news, she has been talking about her forthcoming shoe collection with Stylepick.com and if the shoes in shot are part or it and under £40 as previously reported we are SO excited! Check out the video.
She also looked stunning in a geometric print dress for Nicola Roberts’ birthday – not fair!
Blush frocks dominated The Pride of Britain Awards (incl Cheryl Cole!)
You know we love Cheryl Cole! And she looked incredible in a dusty pink Victoria Beckham gown for The Pride of Britain Awards tonight. Fellow Girls Aloud members Nicola Roberts (wearing a necklace she debuted at LFW) plus another subtle pink frock and Kimberley Walsh in black lace also looked beautiful.
XFactor judge Tulisa looked cute in a blush-hued dress (but black shoes?), while Christine Bleakley picked a gold bandage-like number. Oh and Holly Valance also joined the blush club.

Nicola Roberts steals the show at Digital Music Awards
Woah not a week goes by when we’re not impressed by Nicola Roberts’ eclectic fashion sense. We’ve only just finished marvelling at her crazy pom pom shorts and many LFW frow outfits and now she gives as a daring monochrome maxi!
This kind of reminds us of the prints we saw at the Topshop Unique show at LFW. We also liked model Zara Martin’s floral frock and Prince Harry’s ex Florence Brudenell-Bruce’s perfect leather dress (giving Miranda Kerr a run for her money on the best way to do the leather trend this season).
Also noted for casual wear- the celebs love the cropped sweater – see Jessie J (who had to skip the awards) and Nicola Roberts again – is there any look she can’t do?

Nicola Roberts wears super long plait + pom poms
Nicola Roberts was out in force at LFW rocking a daring jumpsuit, edgy maxi and lady-like simple dress…but has surpassed herself with an outfit she wore to perform at G.A.Y.
Crazy pom poms seem to be a micro trend on planet celeb at the moment. Nicky Minaj wore a crazy pom pom-ed outfit for Carolina Herrera’s show at New York Fashion Week causing an outcry from a young Brit designer, Jessica Rogers, who said her designs have been ripped off. We wonder whether she’s behind Nicola’s quirky skirt?

Cheryl creates shoe buzz with massive beehive
She’s kept a low profile during London Fashion Week but Cheryl Cole drove the paparazzi crazy last night with a new hairdo to celebrate the launch of her forthcoming show line.
The Girls Aloud Star and former XFactor judge accessorized her huge do with a simple gold hairband (and a draped burgundy dress).
Cheryl’s shoes will be available in December at fashion website Stylepick and are rumoured to be affordable with prices starting at £40. Sadly no details yet!
London Fashion Week front row staple, Nicola Roberts did not upstage her best mate in the style stakes, despite having attracted a lot of attention in an unusual jumpsuit, grown-up navy dress and impressive maxi skirt earlier on this week.
Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding has also got in on the fashion act by making her Catwalk debut for Look Magazine at the weekend.
But does Cheryl’s daring beehive still make her the band’s style queen bee?

Naomi Campbell, Kelis + Anna Wintour at Topshop Unique
Oversized 90s sportswear was combined with lots of gold (even gold leaf hair) and modern prints drawing on hieroglyphs but in a graffiti and Keith Haring kind of way. Do we want to wear jogging bottoms outdoors though? We’re still unsure! Egyptian scarab beetles, snakes and sacred animals also jostled for space with all the golden embellishments.
There were however feminine touches (sheer panelled skirts and dresses) all with gold which still seemed ‘street’ despite the obvious reference of Cleopatra in an Elizabeth Taylor 60s OTT way.
SCROLL DOWN FOR CELEBS!
Topshop’s collection attracted a LOT of celeb attention and in attendance were: Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Pixie Geldof, Nicola Roberts, Ellie Gouldng (yeah- she gets around at LFW), Eliza Doolittle (ditto), Kelis, Olivia Palermo plus super bloggers Bip Ling, Susie Bubble and The Sartorialist.

LFW: House of Holland and a celeb-packed front row
Henry Holland’s ‘Pastel Punks’ show certainly pulled in the starlets with Eliza Doolittle, Pixie Geldof, Ellie Goulding, Jamie Winstone and Nicole Roberts all squeezed into the front row.
Our favourite look was Nicola Roberts’ sparkly maxi skirt and quirky tee – a different look from her earlier grown-up ensemble! We also like Jamie Winstone’s orange dress. SCROLL DOWN FOR CATWALK PICS!
But it was all about the catwalk –really. Seams were swapped for zips, bleach was everywhere and high waisted super skinny jeans were de rigour for the Holland models. As ever, there was a retro feeling to the collection but this was balanced with metallic lurex knits and lazer-cut dresses. We love Holland’s super-sized leopard print.
