Topshop for Opening Ceremony

We’re still recovering from the Olympics party and a patriotic summer of red, white and blue. So what better way to stay in the party mood than with a super hot and topical collection from Topshop…Opening Ceremony for Topshop no less. We love the mix of tough material, minimalist shapes and exposed zips.

Kelly Osbourne raises eyebrows in Topshop dress

Or should that be erases eyebrows?!

Kelly Osbourne has been snapped wearing a stylish Topshop cut-out summer dress (that is or was in the sale *gasp*) with bleached brows. Apparently the radical beauty statement was for a fashion shoot but she has kept the look and it is striking (along with her fantastically playful plastic Chanel earrings).

Better dye them again in time for AW12 though Kelly, big brows are BACK!

Get the look: Alessanda Ambrosio’s studded boots

Victoria’s Secret model Alessanda Ambrosio stepped out in one of AW12’s hottest micro-trends – studded boots- early this week and the good news is, that you can get similar versions on the high street that are flat, so you avoid falling into the sartorial trap of looking like a rhinestone cowgirl.

Hello London – summer is here at last! Make the most of it while you can with this hot floral dress from Topshop – a kind of lovechild of a couple of designs from Christopher Kane’s SS12 collection. We’re obsessed with cute origami details and all things floral.

Here comes the bride…wearing Richard Nicoll for Topshop

We believe this is the first time that Topshop has done a wedding dress…and it’s designed by Richard Nicoll (who has collaborated with the store five times before). Predictably the seven piece collection is very wearable with simple lines in romantic lace as well as blush hues…presumably for the blushing bride.

The collection is playfully called ‘tying the knot’ and has that slight London-cool-girl edge that we love about Nicoll. The best bit is that prices range from £75 to £350…not bad for the biggest day of your life.

Chloe Green’s shoe collection launches

It’s received mixed reviews so far but the Arcadia heiress and once Made in Chelsea star’s shoe collection has landed in Topshop at last. There are seven styles in the Chloe Jade Green (CJG) collection, all with trademark green soles….and they are all super super high.

The fat flatforms and stacked heels come at an interesting time, as fifties style shoes, most notably seen at Prada and Celine are all the rage (although Versace is still plumping for maximum height – even model Lindsey Wixson couldn’t cope!) The question is, will heel lovers love CJG shoes? They are pricier than Topshop’s usual shoes but much like Cheryl Cole’s collection for StylistPick are made from luxe leather – these even have leather soles. Will you be hot footing it to Topshop to bag a pair?

Handbags to picnic with

Picnic hampers as handbags has to be one of SS12’s tastiest micro-trends. While Dolce & Gabbana’s golden baskets were catwalk favourites and cost a lot (a lifetime’s worth of gourmet sarnies) the trend translates really well for the high street with cute wicker offerings everywhere. We’ll be plumping for a big boxy number for maximum snackability…or a tiny novelty wicker bag in the shape of something quirky for fun summer nights.
