Best dressed: Serpentine summer party

Where: Party at Kensington Gardens in London at the annual Serpentine Gallery party

Who: Celebs and models – arty like.

Style notes: Lots of Chanel, studs and metallics vs floaty boho dresses and vintage beading.

Here’s out heavenly seven:

Cara Delevingne wears Chanel (well!)

Laura Bailey works the metallic trend

Holly Valance looks super shiny in last season’s D&G

Stud-tastic – Jade Jagger

Amber le Bon goes boho

I love this look on Suki Waterhouse

My fav look: stylist Caroline Sieber’s vintage Chanel. J’adore.

The thigh’s the limit – extreme leg baring celebs!

Since the infamous appearance of Angelina Jolie’s leg at the Oscars, the red carpet has been flooded with celebs wearing gowns with daring slashed detail.  Do you dare to bare?

The dress that started it all.  (Thank Perez Hilton for the annotation!)

Kristen Stewart sizzles in Balenciaga (we also love Kirsten’s dress and super cute clutch)

Cara Delevigne works the trend with effortless elegance

Daring double splits for Jessie J

Rihanna’s never one to miss out the opportunity for a daring outfit, sporting a dress that she helped design herself.

If you’re inspired to “do an Angelina”, ASOS is the place to go – maxi skirt, £18

Top 10: Met Ball dresses

We know everyone else has had their say but here are our top 10 dresses – woot!

Anja Rubik wearing Anthony Vaccarello

Dolce & Gabbana’s model dinner party

Models and IT girls don’t do food right? WRONG! They certainly do when it’s served by fashion royalty Dolce & Gabbana. A collection of models and singers referred to as ‘London IT girls’ modelled Dolce & Gabbana’s SS12 foodie-inspired collection for Harper’s Bazaar magazine US. I am in love with the chilli dress and pasta earrings.

Cara Delevingne and Pixie Geldof - remind anyone of a Disney film?

Dolce & Gabbana cooking up a storm - apparently!

Lacy ladies Tali Lennox and Amber Le Bon

Spot Gary Barlow!

Eva Herzigova in a Dolce & Gabbana sandwich

Pixie and Eliza Doolittle 'ave it large

Jade Williams, Mary Charteris, Cara Delevigne & Florrie Arnold

MFW: Colour for winter *super post!*

We’ve mastered colour blocking and are now seduced by Spring’s pastel hues as well as Pantone’s ‘tangerine’ tango and sherbet lemon so some good news…bold and bright colours were a big feature of Milan Fashion Week.

Seeing as we’re drowning under a heap of Fashion Week news we won’t wax lyrical but let the colour do the talking because it’s punchy…ka-pow!

Perky purple at Blumarine

Big bird by Blumarine!

Little Red Riding Hood and sharp lines at Marni?

And some blue sky thinking

I kind of love these Moschino dresses in a princessy party dress way

Cara Delevingne and some excellent detail

A little military twist for Moschino

Lindsey Wixson for Moschino

I love this little red handbag!

Love the geometric prints at Prada

Punchy purple handbag at Prada

Tangerine again! In love with all the bold beadwork.

MFW: all that glitters – Versace vs Blumarine

There are certain Italian labels *cough Versace* that we can count on to provide studded, metallic, sequinned fabulousness for when more is more.

Versace stuck to slinky silver with mesh and sequin detail – this time more space age knights than underwater mermaid – whereas Blumarine opted for neon, translucent jackets, silver and pale blue metallic reptilian accessories, skinny trousers with voluminous puffer jackets, bright furry coats or slick biker styles. Brash is back…did it ever leave?

The nineties but kinda spacey

Cara Delevingne silver jacket

Kick-ass booties

Lemon yellow continues into winter - yay!

It's kinda trashy but in a good way, non?

Space age Versace

Scary hair cut!

And again...

LFW day 4: Burberry vs McQ *super-huge-post!*

Excuse my tardiness with these posts; the past week has been crazy! Two heavy-weights of London’s fashion scene showed on day 4 of LFW and we certainly weren’t disappointed. But which was your favourite?

How can I tell you how much I loved the Burberry show? It was all my favourite things about winter clothing rolled into one – the exception being the pesky peplum – but I’ll let that slide!

I have fallen head-over-heels in love with the cute velvet and silk elasticised bow belts (added to winter want-list) and our CTO will be thrilled that there were owl prints…she LOVES all things owl. But personal taste aside it was lovely – and very British – that a sense of humour was mixed in with Burberry’s impeccably understated but luxurious fabrics.

We loved the sumptuous quilted purple velvet coat Cara Delevingne wore to close the show and the padded jackets- all pulled in at the waist with the cutest belts. These bulky show-stoppers were teamed with neat pencil skirts in woollen and nubbly fabrics with tucked in tees and jumpers with the occasional ruffled shirt thrown into the mix too.

There was emphasis on the hips (again) with the tricky peplum trend still in vogue but the billowing shirts and cute jumpers were super wearable. Just get me one-to-go! Then of course there was the tweed, cord and traditional mac fabric, which only Burberry makes its own, all in beautiful autumnal shades of plum, mustard, brown, burgundy and olive – tasty.

Accessories-wise the show was strong with fox faces and birds everywhere and big bags back in town (yes!), while ribbed tights teamed with fierce stiletto boots showed the Burberry girl still means business.

Coat of my dreams!

Beautiful finale

Styling tip: tuck it all in and add a bow belt

Hips are hip

Details show the superb quality

The only acceptable padded coat?!

Cara Delevinge - Burberry's poster girl

HOOT!!!

Lucky Kate Bosworth has already got the look!

And so on to McQ by McQueen – the first collection to grace the LFW catwalk. While the Burberry girl can snuggle in a quilted voluptuous coat, the McQ girl is going out to do battle in a sharp military number. Khaki and leather made the coats extra fierce as did the super scary boots! Apparently they took an age to lace up properly.

However, strapless tartan dresses, lace and velvet softened the collection and guess what…more emphasis on the hips, which is turning out to be a big trend for next season. The craftsmanship of the pieces really shone through as did the dramatic silhouettes of nipped in waists. Final thought: military chic gets a little romantic.

Hair looks like a hat too!

Love this burgundy and floral dress

I do like this military style dress

The feminine side

Best SS12 adverts

While I might hanker after a wooly jumper or two and lust after some statement coats, for me, nothing is exciting as seeing the SS12 collections- this year, an explosion of citrus colours, floral prints and beachy pastels. It makes me wish for sunshine now.

So without further ado, here are some excellent SS12 adverts to get you in the (early) holiday mood. Fetch me a Pina Colada!

Pretty in pink. Louis Vuitton

Coco Rocha for Longchamps. Cute.

Naomi Campbell for Pinko - such a strong image

More Vuitton (I love it!)

Giselle for Versace. Ultra glam. What else?

Sunny + retro sexy. Well done Prada!

Vs serious + sexy Burberry starring Cara Delevingne

And sunshiiiiine! Love this Prada collection.

Fab four fashion dance videos : 2011 retrospective

Let’s dance! Here are four fabulous viral videos/adverts that we went crazy for this year. Kudos to Prada, Chanel, Lanvin + Cara Delevingne for throwing some great shapes and having a sense of humour!

Cara Delevingne for Burberry Prorsum pre-fall 2012 : top 3 looks

We went crazy for Burberry’s SS12 tribal collection and now we’re lusting over the very British pre-fall 2012 collection. How time flies!

Cara Delevingne looks incredible in the cute tweed coats with furry collars, pencil skirts and pencil dresses cinched in at the waist with the cutest bow belts (we need one of these!) We also adore the muted rich palette with shots of mustard and pewter as well as the abstract prints. Do you love it as much as us?

Coat + tote to die for

So cute and yet sophisticated

Amazing clutch and dress (hurry up next year - oh wait, we want SS12 first!)
